WILLOW

WILLOW releases, ‘alone’, a new song about solitude and the human condition via her first release with new label partner, Three Six Zero Recordings.

Solitude can become one of our biggest teachers and tools if we truly want to know ourselves completely,” says WILLOW.  Stripped of the angst of her most recent album <COPINGMECHANISM>, ‘alone’ commands the same strength but with a pureness and vulnerability we have yet to see from her. Continuing her musical journey through her truest self, WILLOW shows us once again there are no limits to what she can do.

The track’s stunning visuals further portray WILLOW’s latest path into self-exploration.  “I think solitude can be scary for humans sometimes,” she says, “There is so much space to remember and reflect on things that may be really painful for us. But in my experience, when we open ourselves to this specific flavor of groundlessness we begin to see the inner workings of our minds and hearts in so many beautiful ways that allow us to interact with life with more honesty and presence.” ‘alone’ lays the groundwork for a new album and new direction coming from WILLOW in 2024.

After a long year of performances at festivals like Coachella and Outside Lands, WILLOW is set to conclude 2023 taking the stage at next week’s Camp Flog Gnaw Festival in Los Angeles, CA. She closes the year on the heels of a successful 2022 that saw the release of her most recent album, the critically acclaimed <COPINGMECHANISM>. The album, which Pitchfork said “makes a case for a spot as one of her generation’s most versatile vocalists,” and was hailed by The New York Times and Rolling Stone as one of the best of 2022.
