Seagirls

Introducing English alternative rock band Sea Girls who in September released their brand new single ‘Weekends & Workdays’ on their own label venture Alt. Records in partnership with Believe.

‘Weekends & Workdays’ is the sound of a band hitting their peak. It’s a focused, expansive single as the track’s immediacy and pop hooks come backed with positive and open-hearted lyrics. They strive to keep moving forward whilst addressing societal concerns, a message frontman and main songwriter Henry Camamile is keen to get across, as he explains:

“‘Keep your head up’ is both words of encouragement and maybe a choice we don’t really have. The songs is about someone being told take a break, enjoy life, don’t get ground down and ‘have your weekends’ by a friend. Keep your head up and keep going! People burning out in the modern day against the backdrop of 24hour social media, online scams and growing global instability.”

‘Weekends & Workdays’ was produced by new rising creative duo The Nocturns (Tom Grennan, Lauv, Mimi Webb).

Sea Girls will be the main support with Louis Tomlinson at his London O2 Arena show on 17th November. This follows spectacular performances this summer at UK festivals including Reading and Leeds Festival where they showcased ‘Weekends & Workdays’ to huge crowds.

‘Weekends & Workdays’ looks set to build on the their incredibly successful last few years. The band’s inventiveness allows them to blend the personal and the universal, and resonates with a dedicated fanbase that continues to grow. They played their biggest UK headline tour to date in 2022 which featured a career highlight headline show at London’s Alexandra Palace having previously sold-out Brixton Academy and Kentish Town Forum. That dedicated fanbase took the band into the Top 3 in the album charts for previous albums ‘Open Up Your Head’ and ‘Homesick’.
