Loose Content
Loose Content is a three-piece indie/alt-rock band formed in the hinterland of Byron Bay and now based in Melbourne/Naarm. Formed during high school featuring close friends MiLLa (bass and vocals), Sam Sanders (guitars) and Aquila Porter (drums & BV’s).
Blending punk energy with Britpop melody and an Australian edge, their sound pairs driving rhythms with sharp guitars and candid, politically aware lyricism. They gained attention with their debut EP Costumes, and have since performed at major events including Bluesfest, Woodford Folk Festival, SXSW Sydney and BIGSOUND, while supporting acts like Grinspoon, The Preatures and Magic Dirt.
Loose Content are following in the footsteps of bands like The Birthday Party and The Drones, who cut their teeth and built their musical output on residency gigs and tales of shared housing. Loose Content’s sound draws inspiration from artists like The Police, Radiohead, and Midnight Oil.
