Convenience Store

Melbourne-based DIY rock band Convenience Store have returned with their most affecting work yet – ‘Tabis (Walk Me Through The Night)’, a track that defies genre, and instead walks the line between self-liberation and emotional disintegration.
Written and recorded DIY in their basement studio, ‘Tabis (Walk Me Through The Night)’ exemplifies Convenience Store’s ethos. They’re a band for the internet era, stitched together by timeless 60s rock and post-punk aesthetics. The new single is the first track the band made using the mellotron – an instrument they were drawn to for its Beatles lineage, and its uncanny ability to sound both nostalgic and futuristic all at once. The result is a hypnagogic sound that makes you stop to consider whether you may still be dreaming.
