Monique Rothstein
Red stockings wearing, online backgammon addict and Swedish-pop fetishist, Monique is happiest when she is working with, listening to or rambling about music. Her passion for waxing lyrical about melodies has resulted in over 8 years filled with music retail, freelance music journalism (Drum Media, Inpress, Wasted Magazine, Lost At E Minor), Music Editor at The Pelican, talent scouting for unsigned band initiatives (WotNext Music) and music publicity (Creative Vibes).
During her time at independent label/distributor, Creative Vibes, Monique managed iconic labels, ONE LITTLE INDIAN, WAGRAM, MUSIC FOR DREAMS, SMALLTOWN SUPERSOUND and DC RECORDINGS. Monique was responsible for overseeing campaigns for the likes of LINDSTROM, PADDED CELL, FAMILJEN, LAND OF TALK and KELLI ALI. Loaded with knowledge acquired from an array of experiences including an internship at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, employment as Online Social Networking Specialist at a boutique production company and owning her own jewellery design company. Monique’s passion for people, communication and creativity is unparalleled.
Darren Ong
Stumbling into the music and entertainment industry with an unexpected start Marketing the Roundhouse at the University of New South Wales, Darren has since made his way here to Positive Feedback with stops at 3D World Magazine and Creative Vibes Recordings, along the way. With a lean towards the funk, hip-hop and dancier side of life, Darren has worked with labels including Tru Thoughts, Stones Throw and Ubiquity, as well as artists such as Peanut Butter Wolf, The Juan Maclean, 1 Giant Leap and The Bamboos.
Darren has also had a hand in the Harbour Party NYE dance event and two day rock extravaganza, Come Together at Luna Park Sydney. His passion, industry experience and allergic reaction to tosser like tendencies have helped him to navigate the treacherous traps of the industry so far, so if there’s a mountain in the way of where you are going, Darren’s Tenzing Norgay (well, look it up then).
