DFA heavyweight and well-connected sir, The Juan Maclean is no stranger to our airwaves, with his highly acclaimed The Future Will Come released earlier in the year. Happy House is the second single from Juan's hit album, and cements The Juan Maclean as one of the most important electronic/dance act to emerge over the last decade.
With an album featuring the likes of Gerry Fuchs (!!!), Nick Millhiser and Alex Frankel (Holy Ghost!), and Nancy Whang (LCD
Soundsystem), it comes as no surprise that Cut Copy put their hand up to take control of a remix. Cut Copy and Juan Maclean are old pals, with Juan being invited on his first visit to Australia to participate as a special guest on a national Cut Copy tour. Happy House (Cut Copy Space is the Place remix) is exclusive to Australia and New Zealand; the track will only be available on iTunes Australia for the first two months of its digital only release.
Cut Copy have remixed the likes of The Presets, Ladyhawke, CSS, Midnight Juggernauts and VHS or Beta. The Juan Maclean (full band) are visiting Australia later this year performing at Pyramid Rock Festival, Field Day, Summadayze and their own headline shows.
