Flint Eastwood

Detroit-based artist Flint Eastwood (Jax Anderson) has released the follow up to her 2017 EP Broke Royalty. ‘Real Love’, released via Assemble Sound, marks Jax’s first release directly addressing the LGBTQ+ community, her personal orientation and identity.

Detailing her struggle and repression within her church community, ‘Real Love’ is a standout out moment for this songwriter which finds her proudly proclaiming and celebrating her identity as a gay identifying female. “I want people to know that there is hope and that there is a happy life out there for them. You are worthy of the most spectacular love and you will find it being exactly who you are” says Jax on the motivation behind ‘Real Love’.

2017 saw Jax land the 10th most played triple j track of 2017 with ‘Queen’, leading to an appearance at Falls Festival and a support slot opening for Foster The People. Flint Eastwood made her debut on the festival circuit last summer gracing the stages of Lollapalooza and Bonnaroo before sharing stages with Phantogram, Sylvan Esso and PVRIS.
