Having worked on music since 2002, alucidnation (otherwise known as Bruce Bickerton) came to the attention of prolific producer Tom Middleton back in 2000. Bruce had produced a limited edition CD of material he'd been working on (just 10 copies were pressed up!); one of which found its way to Tom and then by word of mouth to Pete Lawrence, co-curator of The Big Chill, a music and arts organisation based out of the UK, who then signed Bickerton to the Big Chill Recordings label.

It has been 5 long years since the release of alucidnation's acclaimed debut album, Induction. 2009 delivers the highly anticipated and superb sophomore offering, aptly named Get Lost.

Bruce Bickerton is the one-man powerhouse behind alucidnation (responsible for music, production, photography and design), and it’s his laconic attitude that shapes the albums’ mood. The majority of tracks are perfectly constructed edits from extended live pieces, designed to maintain the quintessential 'live' feel that alucidnation is so well recognised for. As with Induction, there are tracks such as Solitaire, which feature Bruce's distinctive multi-tracked vocals, but for the most part Get Lost is an instrumental affair designed to be listened to after hours – a soundtrack to map your internal landscape.

Get Lost is music that yearns for a different and more inward space. It has an understated power and an uncanny way for getting into the honeycomb of your bones. Highly personal, but wholly accessible, it is filmic music that tugs at the heartstrings, often melancholic and reflective, often carefree and joyous, but always unique and inspiring.

“10/10. Evocative and elegant nu balearica for daydream believers. Gets my ‘Timeless Music with Emotional Integrity 2009 Gold Award.’” - Tom Middleton

“Love it” - Ulrich Schnauss
