With their debut release ‘Not All Those Who Wander Are Lost’ receiving critical acclaim and two Grammy nominations, the creative forces behind the ‘1 Giant Leap’ project, Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman, return with their much anticipated follow up release, ’What About Me?’.

As a founding member of famed British dance act Faithless, Jamie Catto has produced numerous top ten hits worldwide, and has seen two albums achieve gold status in the UK alone.  His ‘1 Giant Leap’ partner, producer and re-mixer Duncan Bridgeman, has worked with Duran Duran, The Eurythmics, Shakespeare's Sister, Transvision Vamp and Paul McCartney.

With music forming the backbone of the ‘1 Giant Leap’ project, each song begins with a pre-composed backing track which then grows and develops as new layers are added on by new collaborators resulting in a unique, organic, creative process.

Bridgeman explains, “We have 15 pieces of music we travel with. What we do is give them our beat, or a piece of our music, something that will inspire them.  They all have radio headphones; so they’re listening to our music.  Then they add their music and sing their song.  This is from every country across the world, each person hearing in the headphones what the last person did.”

“Every country across the world” saw Catto and Bridgeman travel to over 50 locations worldwide in the production of ‘What about Me’.  Some of the collaborators who “add their music and sing their song” include KD Lang, Michael Stipe, Alanis Morrisette, Michael Franti, Carlos Santana, Stewart Copeland, Maxi Jazz, and Baba Maal alongside African tribal and Bedouin musicians, Chinese rappers, Gabonese Pygmies and Tuvan throat singers masterfully crafted into a truly unique musical experience.

4-years, 5 continents and 50 locations in the making, 1 Giant Leap's 'What About Me?’ sets out to capture the cultural diversity of the world we live in, in this time capsule of humanity at its most inspirational, and is a unique musical journey that will defy any pre-conceptions that should have left behind before you pressed play.
